Flyers sign Bobby Brink to entry-level contract

The Flyers drafted Brink in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft with the 34th overall pick. Brink opted to go the college hockey route after the draft, and spent the last three years at the University of Denver, scoring 27 goals and 92 points in 84 games. He signs after winning the NCAA National title with Denver on Saturday, and coming off a season where he led the NCAA in points and is a finalist for the Hobey Baker.

Brink has also had two stints in the World Junior Championships in 2020 and 2021, where he had three goals and eight points in 12 games. He also helped Team USA win gold in the 2021 World Juniors, where he had two goals and six points in seven games.

“We’re very excited to have Bobby under contract after an outstanding career in college hockey that concluded with a National Championship,” said Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher in the team’s statement. “Bobby possesses a high compete level combined with terrific hockey sense and offensive skill that has led him to succeed at every level he has played in his young career.”

Brink’s contract begins this season, so he will likely see some game action in the final 10 games of the Flyers season
